Goals

Provide students with knowledge on the biology and taxonomy of aquatic macroinvertebrates.

Methodology

Exhibition and laboratory classes, presentation of seminars, readings and discussions of current scientific articles.

Evaluation

Presentation of a scientific publication, participation in all activities and a written multiple choice tests.

Program content

30 theoretical classes, studying the biology of aquatic macroinvertebrates and 30 practical classes learning about methods to collect benthic material and to identify aquatic macroinvertebrate species in the laboratory based on the appropriate literature.
